Brazil trip - July 6-20
Six people from Slater Baptist are going: Dick & Liz Gifford, Bob & Joy Wright, Chris Silver, & Elizabeth Treffer. I'm sure we'd all appreciate your prayers as we are getting things ready for our trip to help David and Susan Blazer in Paranaiba, Brazil. It's northeast of Campo Grande, I believe.
Thanks a bunch!!

Yep, your parents are quite the interesting duo. It should be a great trip though!! smile.gif The Giffords are quite the pair as well. I'm sure we'll all have a great time getting to know each other a little better.

We went on the first Slater Missions Trip with Giffords, including Shelli, to Jamaica. Don and Dee Long and Greg and Jeff went, too. It's a great learning experience.

Lots of fun things will happen and as a team you'll have some good memories that no one else will share.

Have a great time!

Then start planning the next Missions Trip to Germany...

Joy and I are looking forward to going on this trip. I look forward to not only getting to know the ones from our group but also getting to know the Blazers better. I only hope that I can put up with Elizabeth for the duration. rolleyes.gif

Between the arguing, teasing, joking and harrassing, I think they are planning some work for Christ but I'm beginning to wonder. unsure.gif

Since we are talking about making memories on trips together, I have one from a trip to New Mexico. When ever we would go to New Mexico Steve Vance was determined that we needed to drive straight through the night there and back! It was insane! However, we spent a lot of time in the van. T.J. and I were at a point of complete boredum that we started to play this game that we made up called "slap". Basically we would just start slapping each other until our hands were numb. We decided to ask Liz Gifford if she wanted to join in on the fun. To our amazement she joined in and slapped T.J. across the face! It was hilarious! We have so much to be thankful for in the friends that God has given to us at Slater. I love you guys a bunch!

Knowing TJ, he probably deserved it, too.

Jeremy, it looks like you've aged a bit since I saw you last. Maybe you need to go the fitness center with Bob Schultz to work off some stress.

Matt,
To answer your question... we will be helping the Blazers with 3 days of VBS we know that for sure. I also think that we will be helping redo a porch on their house that is in bad shape. We had told them that we will serve in whatever area that we are needed.

Paul.... I mean Jeremy....TJ still has nightmares about being slapped by English teachers. He wakes up at night in a cold sweat. tongue.gif I am looking forward to what the Lord will have for us on this trip. I wish that you and Kamber could have come... maybe another time. (Although... after hearing about your slapping game maybe it's a good thing you aren't coming) cool.gif
